White Canary, as portrayed in the Arrowverse, is a distinct character from her comic book counterpart. This version is heavily associated with Sara Lance (played by Caity Lotz), who initially operated as the Black Canary.

Following Sara Lance's death and resurrection via the Lazarus Pit, she struggles with bloodlust and a loss of control. She later abandons the Black Canary mantle and, seeking a fresh start, adopts the identity of White Canary.
